Public schools are essential to a thriving Orinda. As a mother of three (grades 12th, 8th, and 2nd), longtime school volunteer, and dedicated community advocate, I've built my career around supporting children and civic engagement, work that reflects both my professional commitment and personal investment in our community.
I'm running for re-election to the Orinda School District Governing Board to sustain the quality of our curriculum and schools, equipping students and parents with educational excellence. My priorities include strengthening curriculum, fostering a safe school environment that prioritizes mental health and social-emotional wellbeing, improving staff recruitment and retention, and advocating for a responsible budget. These efforts are vital to keeping Orinda a model of educational excellence.
My volunteer roots in Orinda schools runs deep. Since my election to the OUSD Board of Trustees in 2022, I've served as both board president and vice president. Beyond the boardroom, I served as a field trip driver at Del Rey Elementary, Girl Scout Troop Leader, library volunteer at Wagner Ranch Elementary, and board member of the Parents' Club at OIS.
Orinda needs leaders willing to tackle the challenges facing our children, families, educators, staff, and administration directly. Together, we can move OUSD forward and deliver results that matter to our students and community.
I’d love to hear from you! Please connect with me via social media or hello@electedda.com. It is better work when we work together!
